General Meeting

Lauderdale Small Boat Club

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 with Commodore Prochaska presiding. All Board members were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Membership’s Report

Three candidates were introduced for the first time and three were reintroduced. The candidates were voted into the Club membership and were duly sworn.

Planning’s Report

July 27 is the Dingy Run. You need to sign the sheet ASAP. August 31 through September 3 is the Bimini trip. It is best to have a passport to enter the Bahamas and the U.S. If you have proof that you have applied for a passport AND have a birth certificate AND government issued picture ID you will be admitted into the Bahamas and the United States.

Social’s Report

The Ladies Dolphin Tournament yielded 270 pounds of fish for the fish fry. The Captains’ meeting for the men’s tournament will be Friday, June 15th at 7:00 PM. Social has determined that non-members may serve as bartenders. We need volunteers.

Treasurer’s Report

On revenues last month of $63,301, the Club has a year to date net gain of $14,861. Five certified letters were sent and four paid. A motion was made and seconded to remove Moreen Waters from the Club for non-payment. The motion carried.

Docks and Grounds’ Report

There has been a great deal of electrical work performed around the Club. The lift went back into service on May 26th. There have been 12 lifts since then, both long and short hauls.
