Board of Directors Meeting

May 7, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM with Commodore Prochaska presiding. All Board members were present.

Dad’ Dolphin Days are coming up in July. The Dingy Run is in June. See Kevin O’Reardon for details.

There will be three prospective members introduced for the first time and sixteen prospective members to be reintroduced.

We need volunteers for all positions. June 1^st will be Jimmy Buffet night. There will be a video of a Buffet concert. Dad’s Dolphin Days will need a lot of volunteers. Please participate.

Last months revenues were $45,422 and a net loss of $10,834. Boatlift repairs were the major expense. Year to date the Club has a net gain of over $8,400. Two certified letters were sent and one has paid.

A letter has been received by the Board to bring a member before the Board for a violation of Club by Laws. The Secretary presented the letter to the Commodore.

The Hurricane Plan was discussed and approved by the Board. It is every member’s responsibility to become familiar with the plan and act accordingly in the event of a storm. There were thirteen anglers at the Kid’s Cane Pole Fishing Tournament.

There has been a great deal of general maintenance around the Club grounds. The boat lift project is progressing well. The Pilothouse will be closed on Memorial Day. If you need fuel, get it before the holiday. A motion was made and seconded to purchase the new fuel tank in order to prevent future price increases. There was discussion and the motion carried.
